Fry bacon and onions together until crisp. Crumble bacon and set aside. Mix brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder and vinegar together, adding salt and pepper to taste, then cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Combine with bacon and onion. Add beans - drain if too soupy - to mixture, then bake at 325° for 60 to 90 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
